Brilliant Detroit Summer Camp!
Brilliant Summer Camp provides our families and children an opportunity to explore and play all summer long and combat the challenges of learning loss. This hands-on summer learning camp will help students foster the love of reading, learn how to grow their knowledge of new things, and make new friends.
Students in grades K-3rd will engage in activities and games supporting literacy, science, art and more!
Brilliant needs the help of unique volunteers like you to help our staff facilitate exciting programming throughout the summer.
Brilliant Detroit Learning and Adventure Camp runs from Monday, July 8 through Thursday, August 15.

Dates: Monday, July 8 - Thursday, August 15
Time: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. (Please NOTE: if you have a program specific craft, experience and/or expertise you would like to lead, Brilliant will work with your schedule to identify a location that shares your interest)
Locations: various Brilliant Hubs - Where We Are - let us know your desired location. Though we will make every attempt to place you at your desired location, volunteer placement will be dependent on the need of each site (east, west, or central).
Volunteer Roles:
- Packing Team - Volunteers have the opportunity to help prepare programming packets and supplies (6/10 - 6/21)
- Summer Camp Lead/Facilitator/Support Team - (Training will be provided) - Volunteers have the opportunity to assist and lead programming
- General Help Team - Volunteers have the opportunity to help serve our families during lunch, snack times, and child care support
- Donation Drive Team(s) - Details TBD
Your participation as a summer camp volunteer is a great way to connect our amazing volunteers with our families and to grow our mission of building kid success neighborhoods for all. In addition, we guarantee that it will make a lasting impact not only on the life of a Brilliant Detroit child and family, but on your own!
**Volunteers working directly with Brilliant children, families, and staff are asked to have a background check.
